Toy Story 3 in Theaters and EVERYWHERE

In case you have missed all the television ads, magazine covers and store displays, Toy Story 3 is set to be released in theaters this Friday, June 18.  Not to say that the marketing of this release is excessive, but it seems that everywhere you look Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Rex and the whole toy chest of friends are staring back at you.

I have to admit that I have fallen into the trap and have purchased a few of these Toy Story 3 character laden products.  The Sara Lee Enriched White Bread tasted an awfully lot like regular white bread, but if I buy four more loaves, I can have a Toy Story 3  light- up lunchbox to carry my peanut butter sandwiches in.

The Edy’s Slow Churned Smooth and Creamy Toy Story Lemonade Swirl ice cream is actually really good, once you get passed Buzz looking at you from the carton as if to say, “You are really having another bowl?  I hope your next mission is  to the treadmill to walk to infinity and beyond!”

We have yet to try the Gummy Green Army Men candies or the microwave popcorn that comes in an individual Toy Story 3 themed bowl, we are saving that for the movie.

The Disney Stores are loaded with Toy Story toys and products and are offering special savings to celebrate the premiere.  Shoppers can enjoy free shipping when ordering on line, as long as one of the items purchased is a Toy Story toy.

Like to shop in person?  Then you won’t want to miss all the fun this Saturday, June 19 as the Disney Stores will host a Scavenger Hunt.  Children age 3 and up will be able to join in the fun between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm after calling their local stores to confirm participation.

Buzz, Woody and all their new friends are looking forward to see you at the theaters this weekend.  If not there, than I am sure you will run into them at the grocery, the drug store, the …..

There are lots of places I’d love to take my family one day, and China is definitely on that list.  It’s pretty low down on that list, though.  Not because it’s so far away, not because it’s so big, but because the type of trip I’d like to take would be crazy expensive. My inbox is bombarded...

Brentwood Corn Festival
OK, I’ll admit I was confused when I heard there was a corn festival in Brentwood. The only Brentwood I was familiar with in California was that upscale neighborhood just west of I-405 and north of Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Well, seems there’s another one in the state’s Contra...

Car Seats On A Plane
Without a doubt, the safest place for a child to be on an airplane is in their own seat with the seatbelt securely fastened. If that child is under the age of 2, the safest place for him or her to be is in their own FAA-approved car seat that’s been secured into their own seat on the airplane. However,...
