Local Happenings for the Inauguration

So if you are in South Florida for Inauguration Day, gather some friends and check out these local happenings:

  • Tobacco Road: Serving customer for over 95 years, Tobacco Road really knows how to cater to the majority and Inauguration Day isn’t any different. They will be offering their classic Road Burger plus fries for only $1 from 11 am – 10 pm. In addition, they will be showing the Inauguration live on the TV screens and DJ Oski will be spinning on the patio. Tobacco Road is located at 626 S. Miami Avenue.
  • Legal Sea Foods, with locations in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Sunrise, will be serving their New England clam chowder to guests for only 44 cents, in honor of the 44th President of the United States. This delicious soup has been served at every Presidential Inauguration since 1981.
  • Make your way down to the Adrienne Arscht Center where there will be a live showing of the Inauguration. There will also be live music including the New World School of the Arts choir, a live marching band and more.
  • Clematis Social will be offering a patriotic dessert special. Enjoy red, white and blue cheesecake bites served with chocolate, caramel and raspberry sauces for only $13. Cocktails (all but top shelf) will be $4.40 for the day.
  • City Limits in Delray Beach will have all of the Inauguration activities on their 20 televisions. They are hosting a celebration for guests to party, network, dance and enjoy live music. General admission is $50 and hors d’oeuvres will be served. VIP tickets are available, cost $100 and includes an open bar from 9-11 pm.
  • Clematis by Night will host a special Inauguration celebration from 6:00 – 9:30 pm. At noon, there will be live viewing parties at downtown restaurants and in front of the jumbo screen at Centennial Square. At 7:00 pm, there will be a special inaugural salute to Obama.
