Math, science, and technology all mesh together in a new exhibit opening at the Pacific Science Center next weekend.
Sure to be full of family fun, Mindbender Mansion starts off with a welcome from wacky Mister E, master brainteaser and puzzler extraordinaire, and current curator of the Mindbender Society.
The place is full of puzzles, brainteasers, and interactive challenges guaranteed to test the brain power and problem solving skills of even the most experienced puzzlers. Adults and children will both enjoy exercising their minds as they try to master each of the 40 individual brain teasers and the five group activities in this fun and unconventional exhibit.
Here are a few of challenges ahead of you:
- Feeding Frenzy – A race to beat the clock filling TV dinner trays with five kinds of food. Oh yeah, you have to do this while they’re on a fast moving conveyor belt.
- Spelling Fever – A combination of Scrabble and Hopscotch requires you to hop around spelling words as the timer counts down.
- Move and Match – Slide dining room chairs that have been mounted on wheels into a correct pattern; another beat the clock puzzle.
As you complete each of the brainteasers and group challenges you’ll gather the clues and secret passwords that you need to become a member of the Mindbender Society.
Mindbender Mansion teaches problem solving and critical thinking while weaving in math, science, and technological content into the puzzles, videos, and challenges. It’s fun and education, and sure to be entertaining.

Dates & Times: October 2nd, 2010 through January 2nd, 2011. Monday, Wednesday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday & Sunday till 6 pm. Closed on Tuesday.
Admission: Admission to the exhibit is included with general admission. $14 adults, $9 youth (ages 6-15), $7 kids (ages 3-5), $12 seniors (65+). Children under 3 are FREE.
