It’s not too late to plan your perfect Valentine’s Weekend! The Portofino Hotel and Yaht Club is offering a package you can enjoy alone with your Valentine. The justly named “Do Not Disturb Romance Package” is available from February 1 to 28 so you have all month long to plan a private romantic day with the one you love. The package includes overnight accommodations where you will be able to bath in a bubbly Jacuzzi made for two while looking out the window’s ocean view. If the name of the package was not tantalizing enough, they include other “Elements of Seduction” for your bath like a scented candle as well as rose petals (hint: which can also be used for your bed). While you bathe, think of toasting to the holiday with the package’s champagne and rich Godiva truffles which only complements the romantic atmosphere. Complimentary overnight parking is also included. Package price starts at $359 based on availability. For reservations, please call 1-800-468-4292 or visit them online.
As a guest, you can also take advantage of the ocean-view swimming pool and whirlpool or think about cruising the coast on the hotel’s complimentary beach cruiser bicycles. The Redondo Beach area is full of fun activities like arcade and carnival games. There’s also tons of seafood restaurants where fresh crab is king. You can choose them live and enjoy them an hour later by the ocean. However, if you would like a more refined Valentine’s experience at Redondo, the Portofino Hotel also offers a Baleen Valentine’s Dinner (Sunday, February 14 5-9:30pm). This five-course Celebratory Valentine’s Dinner will be prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Roberts. Prices are $65 per person or $80 with wine pairings. For reservations, please call 877-BaleenLA (888-225-3365) or online at OpenTable.com.
