Tempting Tattie is Tops

While it is rumoured that Edinburgh has the most restaurants per person than anywhere in Europe, the Tempting Tattie is definitely at the top of this veritable buffet of choice.  Ask any local and they will tell you that this ‘wee shop’ just off the Royal Mile is the best place in town to get your carbohydrate dose.

Taste & Flavour:  10 / 10

All ingredients are fresh and tasty.  The Tempting Tattie Team also makes sure the fillings are put on in the right order to ensure the perfect consistency.  It’s an art form, really!

Ambience:  9 / 10

If you can, take advantage of the bar stools behind the window to enjoy your meal and admire the view as traffic wanders by.  Otherwise, get yours takeaway and wander down the Royal Mile to Dunbar Close Gardens for an impromptu picnic.

Service:  10 / 10

The owner is always up for a chat while putting your order together; take advantage as he has some great stories to tell.    Always service with a smile.

Value for Money:  10 / 10

A tattie stuffed with enough filling to feed a family of four can be easily had for under £5.

Recommended To Try:

My personal favourites include cheese and pineapple or haggis and cheese.
