A Sedona Hike Popular Year Round
... be found just off US Highway 89A, which winds its way down from the higher elevations and dense forests of Flagstaff into the red rock canyons of Sedona and outer regions of the Arizona high desert. Look for the entrance to the trailhead, and the Call O’ The Canyon daypark and carpark, half way between 385 and 384 mile markers on Highway 89A. In high tourist seasons parking spots can be almost impossible to find on Highway 89A. Visitors may opt to purchase the $3 parking pass and park in the...

Rand-McNally named Highway 89′s panoramic path through Oak Creek Canyon one of the most beautiful drives in America, designating it Arizona’s first scenic route. Driving Arizona’s Red Rock Country to Sedona

Toss your hiking boots into the trunk, fill up your water bottles, and be prepared to take that dirt road detour. Here are a few highlights of the area that...

Relax, Rekindle and Rock’n Roll in Arizona
... dark and dramatic atmosphere, described on their official website as an “undeniable mystique”.
Although a much anticipated day trip to Sedona, including a Red Rock/Pink Jeep Tour had to be cut short due to a mix of rain and snow, there is always the next vacation. Looking back on it now, perhaps we were thieves. We had, after all, stolen away for a perfect weekend in Phoenix.

Living Amongst the Vines in Arizona
... varieties that are receiving international attention.
Vineyards in the Verde Valley nestled in the red rock countryside of Cottonwood, Jerome and Sedona north of Phoenix have turned out to be an exceptional place to grow grapes. With elevation levels between 4,000 and 5,000 feet all three locations experience cooler summers and low evening temperatures.
This year these vineyards produced a record harvest. Due to perfect grape growing weather with no rain, ideal temperatures and no late season...
