Anticipating the Awesomeness of AC/DC
Heavy metal pioneer AC/DC is due to rock Auckland on 4 February, at the Western Springs Stadium.
New Zealand will be the first to see AC/DC the world’s greatest rock and roll band on the as part of the Australasian leg of their Black Ice World Tour. After selling more than 200 million records worldwide, the band will perform in New Zealand for the first time since November 1996. Truly the most-awaited rock show to be ever staged in the country.

Pepsi Music Festival Rocks Buenos Aires
One of the most important music festivals in Argentina and South America returns for the 5th consecutive year. The Pepsi Music 2009 festival will take place this year on the last weekend of October and the first weekend of November at the Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
This music marathon (which takes place every year) will feature over 100 bands, with outstanding national and international artists.

Farewell the Astoria, rock’n'roll legend
... Point, the Astoria will be making way for the Crossrail project’s new station. Two other clubs will also go, leaving the area bereft of its rock and indie links.
Apparently, the Astoria will be replaced once the station has been completed. But no new building will replace the faded, grungy old Astoria.
