Most often I use my weekly photo entry to showcase one of the city’s sites, an attraction or landscape that reminds us just how beautiful Sydney is. Surry Hills’ Ward Park Becomes an Adventure Playground
Youngsters will have a new place to play in Sydney with the opening of the Ward Park Adventure playground this Sunday.
The park has some fantastically fun new equipment including a large climbing net, a custom play wall, swing and balance structures and a flying fox. There’s also a small bike track and skate area for kids looking for a place to cycle or ride their skate boards. Sydney Playground for All Children
A new all-abilities playground will open its gates this Saturday, 6 December.
The unique playground was designed so all children, including those with wheelchairs and with hearing and sight impairments, can use the facilities.
The park sits on 44 hectares of parkland, so little ones will have plenty of room to run around. But the real draw card is the equipment, which includes a musical bridge and maze, as well as swinging, spinning, sliding, and climbing equipment.

Sydney Playground Gets a Makeover
Sydney’s kids will soon have a new place to play! The playground in Victoria Park, next to Sydney University in Camperdown, is getting a facelift!
It should definitely please the local community because they helped to plan it. The innovative playground was designed with the area’s heritage landscape in mind.
