Sydney Photo Friday: Swinging in Cronulla
Most often I use my weekly photo entry to showcase one of the city’s sites, an attraction or landscape that reminds us just how beautiful Sydney is. This week’s photo reminds us of beauty too, but in a different way. Because really, there’s nothing more beautiful than a happy child. Perhaps I’m getting clucky in my old age, but this shot of a child swinging in a park near Cronulla Beach completely melts my heart. Just try not to smile as you look at her carefree face, grinning...

Family Friendly Fun at Belrose Hotel

... marinated beef medallions with smashed potatoes, roasted field mushrooms, and a hearty red wine sauce. Sydney Playground Gets a Makeover

Sydney’s kids will soon have a new place to play! The playground in Victoria Park, next to Sydney University in Camperdown, is getting a facelift! It should definitely please the local community because they helped to plan it. The innovative playground was designed with the area’s heritage landscape in mind. Currently the playground doesn’t have a lot of equipment, and there’s harsh gravel on the ground. The new facilities will include a new play area catering for children...
