Conde Nast’s annual Business Travel Awards just named Reagan National Airport (DCA) as the best domestic airport as voted on by business travelers.
The airport received high marks for safety and security (obviously due to the high security due to the volume of elected officials flying in and out), ease of access and transportation and access to connecting flights.
Washington’s main airport is not actually located in Washington, DC, but across the Potomac River in Arlington, Virginia, just...

Since Chicago did not get the bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics, this means Denver could be a viable candidate for an upcoming Winter Olympics. Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter said that Denver is still very interested in bringing the Olympic games to our city.
When could we possibly see Denver put in a bid for such a huge event? The earliest we could bid for the Olympics is for the 2022. The USOC said that the U.S. can not bid on the 2018 Olympics because the deadline is October 15th, which is way too soon...

I am so thrilled that so many of you have become regular readers of this site. On The Road was born out of a lifelong idea to share the places and things that I see and do. Kudos to the good Dr. for the great book, Oh The Places You Will Go, a true inspiration for this idea. As I travel, for business (as is usually the case) or for pleasure (too rarely) I must admit that am constantly amazed and inspired by all that life has to offer us. The ability to share that with an audience is truly energizing.

“It never rains in Southern California……” la la la. And that ain’t good! We have more Santa Ana-like weather on the way and Los Angeles County–in fact all of Southern California–is very, very, VERY dry.
Temperatures, expected to peak on Tuesday, will rise to triple digits and the humidity level will likely plummet to a single digit. And the winds will push in from the northeast. Combine the three elements for one potentially deadly combination.

We watched mothers in inline skates pushing prams. Grandpas racing each other in mobility scooters and toddlers on the run. Birds and parrots also enjoyed the park. Green-yellow parrots screeched in the...

No, they are not enclosed together-although that could indeed be interesting. The condors are in Santa Barbara and the snow leopards live in L.A.
Unveiled at the Los Angeles Zoo on September 10th were two rare snow leopard cubs, a brother and his sister. It is thought that snow leopards number fewer than 7,000. Their home turf is in the rugged terrain of the remote mountains of Asia, where their abundant fur and wraparound tails can keep them warm at brisk minus-40 Fahrenheit temps. It’s not...
