A couple months back when I was still wearing my winter coat in April I was dreaming about a sunny weekend in mid-June when the Taste of Dublin Food festival would take over one of my favorite parks in the city, Iveagh Gardens. OK, I’ll admit I was confused when I heard there was a corn festival in Brentwood. The only Brentwood I was familiar with in California was that upscale neighborhood just west of I-405 and north of Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.

With the Vivid festival still running, I couldn’t resist showing you another of the city’s beautiful landmarks all lit up. Here you see Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park bathed in blue. It’s always been a gorgeous sight, but with those vibrant lights suddenly Sydneysiders can appreciate this landmark, and many others, in a whole new way. Last Thursday, Edinburgh International Film festival tickets went on sale. There was an enormous queue at the festival box office, which is located at the Filmhouse [map], partly due to the fact that demand cashed the official film festival website! It is up now and seems to be running smoothly, at least for the moment.
