One of Chicago’s biggest Events of the year kicks off this weekend: the Taste of Chicago 2010.
The Taste of Chicago is considered to be the largest outdoor food festival in the world and attracts more than 2 million people each year. And this year, “the Taste” as it is also referred to, is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Firkin Fest starts tonight, Thursday June 24. This three-bar collaboration (Anvil Bar & Refuge, The Flying Saucer, and the Petrol Station) will feature craft beer from some of the finest breweries around, including (but not limited to) Avery, Left Hand, Great Divide and Stone. If you want to try countless Virginia wines, the Vintage Virginia Wine Festival is the wine festival to attend. With close to 50 Virginia wineries on hand pouring a variety of samples of their wines, you could try close to 300 wines. And you can purchase bottles to take home of any wine you enjoy.
