Downtown Disney’s New Up in the Air Fun

A new attraction for Downtown Disney guests, Characters in Flight, is a giant tethered balloon that allows riders a bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort. Taking off from the landing platform of Village Lake (the end of the main promenade of Downtown Disney’s West Side), Characters in Flight will carry up to 30 guests on a six minute “flight”. Soaring 500 feet in the air allows passengers a 360 degree panorama view of up to 10 miles.
