REVIEW: Café Fábulas – an Excellent Break at Chiado

When you’re going around Bairro Alto and Chiado, shopping, feeling the new Lisbon atmosphere, you will eventually feel like a break… from the heat, from the cold and rain or just from walking, to relax. This area has already a few interesting places. Fábulas Café is another one that is definitely recommended.
In the winery of an old building, this places changes from an art gallery into a restaurant and café, yet into a chill out place. Huge arches gives a filling of entering an old age....

Located at 3103 East Colfax Avenue [map], the boutique pastry cafe is owned and operated by Tran and Emma. The ladies decided to combine their creative juices and create one unique and fun place to grab a cup of coffee, a cupcake or a bowl of cereal.
Here’s a little bit about The Shoppe Denver from their website:

Review: Fresh, Fashionable Food at Zanzero in Edinburgh
Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Offset not contained in string. in /var/www/blog/wp-content/themes/ISOMagazine/functions.php on line 317
I had the most brilliant lunch last week at Zanzero, a bright and cheery cafe/restaurant just on the edge of trendy Stockbridge. It’s a great little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of George Street and Princes Street – a perfect getaway from the festival madness methinks.
Zanzero is a sister to Centotre, another one of Edinburgh’s best restaurants. While there are a few similarities – great food being one of them – the Zanzero experience has its own personality.
Ambience
Petite...

Restaurant Review – Mannequin Pis Belgium Restaurant
... Pis in suburban Olney, Maryland has been serving authentic Belgian cuisine in a comfortable setting that makes you feel as if you are inside a small cafe in Brussels. Located in a small strip mall, surrounded by other small restaurants, this is a jewel in the rough.
With a list of over 60 Belgian beers (and not a Miller Lite or Bud anywhere on the menu) you can sample traditional Belgium bistro cuisine along with countless pale, golden, amber, brown and blonde ales.
The signature appetizers...

Things to do on a Rainy Weekend
... here we go!
Start off your morning at Marienplatz, no matter what the weather, Marienplatz is always beautiful. Have a lovely brunch at the Rischart cafe. Simply go inside, head upstairs and have a seat near the window. A waitress will come around to take your order. Have a coffee and choose something delicious from the menu.
Head back outside and hop on the S-Bahn to Isartor, which will take you right to the Deutsches Museum, where you can spend all day learning about science, communications, energy...

Time for Pancakes, Everyone!
Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Offset not contained in string. in /var/www/blog/wp-content/themes/ISOMagazine/functions.php on line 317
Pancakes are the ultimate “everything is right with the world” food. There’s just something about them. They’re round (usually), hot, filling, cheap, and conjure up memories of Sunday morning breakfasts when life was simple and the newspaper cartoon section was waiting to read.
At the edge of West Hollywood, on the corner of Sunset and Fairfax, The Griddle Café serves up wonderful pancake creations (we’re talking buttermilk and pure maple syrup from Vermont) from early...

Hidden Tea – One of Barcelona’s Secret Restaurant/Cafes

Again Barcelona surprised me! Right beside the tourist track that runs through the Barrio Gotic is Salterio, a cozy hideaway. How had I noticed this little place before? Probably because unless you’re looking for Salterio, you’ll never find it.
To get a good cup of tea and breathe in a bit of ‘real’ Barcelona, check out this cellar-like tea spot. It only consists of one room, which is adorned with candles, flowers, cushions and low tables. Tea-drinkers sit close together and chat softly...

CAFÉ REVIEW: CAJ CHAI

Tea time? Spain is not known for tea and though your normal black tea is offered at most any bar, its quality and preparation is questionable. Lately, quite a few specialty tea spots have been opening up offering extensive tea choices from all over the globe.
Caj Chai is one such place, and has received rave reviews from those who know tea. The café is bohemian-cool, located in the Barcelona’s Barri Gotic on a cobblestone street. Here, not just the leaves are important, but also the process...

Great Weather for a visit to Brown’s Tea Bar
Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Offset not contained in string. in /var/www/blog/wp-content/themes/ISOMagazine/functions.php on line 317
The weather is rainy and cold. The sun is blocked and the sky is gray. What an awful time to be visiting Munich. Or maybe not because now is just a perfect time for you to visit one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in all of Munich. Once you step into Brown’s Tea Bar, you will want to do nothing more than whisper to that special friend or loved one over a hot cup of their delicious teas or coffees.
Complete with a faux fireplace, this tea bar is exactly what you would expect a traditional...

Cafe an der Uni
Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Offset not contained in string. in /var/www/blog/wp-content/themes/ISOMagazine/functions.php on line 317
If you’re looking for a place where young professionals and university students stop to grab a bite to eat, look no further than Café an der Uni. Once the rec room for philosophy students, Café on der Uni kept its original exposed brick walls and built in book shelves stocked with literature and opened their doors to hungry students. With an outdoor terrace, during the warmer seasons you’ll find students enjoying a beer after class and relaxing in the sun. During the colder seasons,...

Cafe Jasmin
Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Offset not contained in string. in /var/www/blog/wp-content/themes/ISOMagazine/functions.php on line 317
We all know that no matter what country you’re in, or whichever city you visit, a Starbucks will look like a Starbucks. The smells, music and decor will all be the same, which since when isn’t a little consistency not appreciated? But, if you’re looking to get away from that consistency, I most definitely suggest Café Jasmin. Don’t worry, you won’t have to bring your bongo drums or beret to come into this comfortable spot, with its cream colored couches, marbled counters and tassled curtains.
Stepping...
