There are two types of markets in Mexico, permanent markets and weekly or bi-weekly open-air markets or bazaars. The latter are commonly referred to as tianguis.

Recently I moved to the other side of the river, to Costa da Caparica. Although just a short and beautiful boat ride from Lisbon, or some 15 minutes by car crossing 25 de Abril bridge, it feels like a sweet break from the rushing of the city.

Lifeguards are on duty at five Sandy Hook beaches from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. On weekends during summer, be sure to arrive before 10 a.m. because after that the crowds are impossible.
