Che:
A big mess in Perak waiting for royal clean up, tomorrow
After Anwar had failed to make good his September 16 plan, I really had thought that the next big thing in Malaysia politic will happen sometime in March (you know what I mean). But boy, I was wrong. Nassaruddin rocked the boat by jumping ship to PKR and rocked the same boat yet again, jumping back to UMNO Baru (but not after he went missing for a while)…. in just a matter of 10 days… a Malaysia Boleh record of sort.
What followed suit were never to be imagined in my thinking mind...

Bota Kiri UMNO Baru State Assemblyman leapfrogs to PKR
Well, it looks like all the talking about the frogs were not without merit after all. Contrary to popular belief that the frogs were to come from Sabah, Bota Kiri UMNO Baru State Assemblyman, Datuk Nasarudin Hashim started the defection, to PKR…. obviously adding salt to injury to the Barisan Nasional and UMNO Baru who had just lost the Kuala Terengganu by-election.
Will there be more? As usual, Najib will always say it was just rumour but Perak Chief Minister Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin says...

KT by-election: PAS won with bigger majority
Congratulation to PAS and Barisan Rakyat on winning the Kuala Terengganu by-election by a much bigger majority.
This shows that the Kuala Terengganu people are fed-up with both Pak Lah’s current and also not confident with Najib’s future leaderships. The people are also not easily fooled by the various instant development projects dished out by the BN government as if spending their own money when the money are actually tax payors money… that means my money and your money too.
Now...

Tune Hotel’s no frill concept
I wrote about budget hotel Tune Hotel long time ago here and today let me explain what is really meant by Tony’s no frill concept.
The advertised room rate for Tune Hotel (from RM9.99 to RM59.99 based on demand) actually covers only the room.
Other so-called luxury, or necessities, can still be accorded to you but at additional charges.
So how much these add-ons cost?
Air-conditioning: RM4.99+ for five hours and RM9.99+ for 12 hours. Guests are given an air-conditioner remote control with a...

My golf score, Seri Selangor Golf Club
Out of the blue last week, my boss suggested that we should go for some golfing… so golfing we did…. at the Seri Selangor Golf Club, a public golf club located in Petaling Jaya and run by PKNS.
This was my first time at Seri Selangor so I didn’t really know what to expect. Little did I realize what I was going to discover…. that this course is so challenging… for both beginners and experienced alike.
We checked in for night golfing (RM73 for 18 holes inclusive of buggy,...

LCCT Labu: Ada udang di sebalik mee
Ada udang di sebalik mee…. a cunning, newly concocted idiomatic expression (by some unknown, un-athorized Malay language self-claimed-expert obviously… aka perosak peri-bahasa) based on the original phrase… ada udang di sebalik batu… simply meant there is something not right, and/or fishy (often ulterior motives) behind something.
By now, a lot had been said about this latest joint venture between AirAsia and Sime Darby to a build another LCCT terminal (in Labu, known as...

KT by-election: Why withdraw oil royalty suit only in March?
Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Said said the nine-year-old suit against the federal government for withholding oil royalties will be withdrawn in March.
At a press conference in Kuala Terengganu today, Ahmad (right) said that the state government was still ironing out several legal technicalities before the suit can be withdrawn.
Source: Malaysiakini
Legal technicalities ehh…. hehe… this is very typical of BN stories, isn’t it?
Let see…. March… something is coming up...

Malaysiakini on KT by-election: Wan Farid is Pak Lah’s proxy, whose proxy is Dr M?
Dr Mahathir commented:
“The choice of the candidate by BN is really very bad because everybody sees him just as a proxy… someone to be used later on if Najib becomes the prime minister,” Mahathir (left) claimed at a press conference in Putrajaya today.
While Mahathir did not elaborate, he was obviously referring to Wan Ahmad being closely linked to his successor-turned-nemesis Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Interesting analysis, but then in...

Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof: New Election Commission chief, same old stories?
Would the new year 2009 brings any hope of a better election mechanisms to the people of this country? Too early to say of course. But with the new face at the helm of one of the most ‘happening’ government machinary ever, it is not too much to say we really have high hope on Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, the new Election Commission Chief who had replaced Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman who, by the way, is planning to sue his critics for defamation for damaging his characters.
Hmmm…. in that...
