Drink Ribera. Drink Spain. Wine Tasting
Discover the pinnacle of Spanish winemaking and Spain’s most noble grape — Tempranillo — during the upcoming Ribera del Duero tasting. This comprehensive tasting, taking place on March 8, 2011, will introduce consumers and members of the trade to a lush production of this fruit forward wine that is well-balanced in sweetness, color and acidity. This one-day event is one of the most comprehensive tasting of the Ribera del Duero wines ever to take place in Florida and — to pair up with wines from this award-winning region will be small bites from Chef Michelle Bernstein from Sra. Martinez.
The event is two-fold. The first part of the day will be targeted to members of the trade and media, while during the evening, it will be for the general public.
Details
Part 1 – for members of the trade and media
When: Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Where: Rubell Family Collection/Contemporary Arts Foundation Museum, 95 NW 29th Street, Miami
This portion of the event will feature a walk-around tasting for members of the trade and media with wines from over 100 wineries from the Ribera del Duero region. Wines will be poured by Ribera winemakers and other qualified representatives from Spain & the U.S. Both wines that are currently available in the U.S. and wines seeking U.S. importers will be present during this time.
Part 2 – for consumers
When: Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Rubell Family Collection/Contemporary Arts Foundation Museum, 95 NW 29th Street, Miami
The consumer portion of the event will feature a tasting with wines from over 50 wineries from the northern Spain region. Like the first portion of the event, wines will be poured by Ribera winemakers and other qualified representatives.
Cost: $25 per person (a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Rubell Family Collection)
