Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it’s time to add some romance to your life.We’ve put together some of our favorite destinations to wow your palate and your loved one. Here are are suggestions for our top 5 destinations to score that reservation.
BLT Steak at The Betsy, 1440 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach 305.673-0044
Lose all your inhibitions this Valentine’s Day, as chef Sam Gorenstein ignites your senses. On Valentine’s Day, chef will be busy preparing this four course dinner that is filled with perfection. It is priced at $85++ (an a la carte menu will also be available). The prix-fixe will start off with an amuse bouche carefully created by the chef; an appetizer (either local Red Snapper Crudo with coconut soubise or Prime Steak Tartare with black truffle aioli); you choice of a main entree (Chilean Wagyu Flat Iron with smoked tomato relish or Pan Roasted Halibut with savoy cabbage fondue — both served with either roasted brussels sprouts or braised salsify). Finish the evening off with either Banana-Passion Fruit Vacherin or Spiced Chocolate Souffle with cardamom ice cream.

From the moment I hear the name Bourbon Steak, I get weak in the knees. This Michael Mina restaurant brings together an exquisite setting, sumptuous food and top notch service — and they don’t miss a beat. This Valentine’s Day, they are celebrating with a $109++ Valentine’s Day menu. Start the night off with the infamous duck fat fries and your choice of appetizer — ahi tuna tartare, a black olive Caesar, San Francisco cioppino or American caviar parfait; your choice of American Kobe duo, grilled local swordfish or roasted chicken breast for a main entree; and your choice of chocolate croissant bread pudding, frozen chocolate souffle or the signature beignets for dessert.

Dine out for Valentine’s Day Daniel Boulud Style for $90++ per person. Your 3-course menu will be personalized to your liking. To start, please your palate with a Lobster Salad with avocado, hearts of palm, pepper, pesto dressing and Ruby Red Grapefruit or Foie Gras Terrine with poached rhubarb, daikon radish and pistachio. For your main entree, you may enjoy a Duo of Beef with peppered ribeye and braised short rib or the Bread Crusted Pompano with artichokes, fingerling potatoes, tomato confit and garlic-parsley veloute. For dessert, may we recommend the Lemon Gratin served with pistachio-pine nut biscuit, Granny Smith apple confit and yogurt sorbet.

Sometimes Valentine’s Day is just not meant for the two of you. It’s meant for the entire group and no matter how you come, Mercadito will welcome you in. Mercadito will be offering a 5-course sharing menu that is sure to make be to your liking. From the delectable menu, you can choose 3 types of guacamole and 2 types of salsa; 2 botanas or 2 ceviches; 4 types of tacos; 2 side dishes like fried plantains with mole poblano creme or Mexican style corn on the cob; and an assortment of flan. Cost os this sharing menu is just $50++ per person.

Indulge in your surf and turf this Valentine’s Day at Wish. This $75++ menu is available on Monday, February 14 from 6-10 pm. Start off with some Hamachi Sashimi with cucumber, radish, daikon salad, yuzu-lime glee and cilantro dressing; continue with Butter Poached Lobster and Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin; and finish off with Chocolate Armagnac Torte with candied hazelnuts, Chambord Chantilly cream and confit lemon.
