Tourist Information Booths in Buenos Aires

Like any other cosmopolitan capital of the world, there are many tourist information booths in Buenos Aires where you can get help.  With different locations around the city, these kiosks are staffed with a friendly and bi-lingual crew whose main focus is to help you out with any questions you may have with a smile.

Whether you need a street or subte map, or need to find a place to buy tango or theatre tickets, or need to figure out which colectivo takes you across town, or just need to speak to someone who speaks your same language, these booths are extremely helpful with up-to-date information. Plus they are free!!! You can’t beat that.  Additionally, they offer free walking tours and more.

Some locations where you can find these booth are: at Avenida Roque Saenz Peña and Florida (map); at Galerías Pacífico (map); at Café Tortoni (map); at the Terminal de Omnibus de Retiro (map); at Dique 1, Puerto Madero, by a big crane (map); at the Ezeiza International Airport, main hall; at the Aeroparque Municipal Jorge Newbery (map).

For more information just visit the city’s web page created by the Government of the City.  It is a really helpful page, as I had mentioned in other articles…  http://www.bue.gov.ar/informacion/index.php?menu_id=29&lang=en

Here are some quick tips… Buenos Aires is considered to be a very humid city, meaning that during the summer months (December – March) the heat can be almost unbearable, with temperatures registering 30 degrees but feeling more like 40 degrees, in sharp contrast to the chill of the winter months (July – October). Spring and Autumn are the best times to go as there are plenty of activities going on outside with people making the most of the glorious weather. Keep an umbrella handy though as there is always the chance of a rain shower at any time of the year.
