Gordon Ramsey Revisits Le Bistro

Is any publicity good publicity? Husband and wife team — Elin & Andy Trousdale of Le Bistro Restaurant in Lighthouse Point — thought so when they invited the often feared Gordon Ramsey into their restaurant for a taping of Kitchen Nightmares back in July 2009. While the show took on everything you would expect to happen in reality tv including intense levels of drama where Chef/owner Andy was portrayed as being the bad guy and dictator-like, the airing of the show on a national level gave them great exposure, new customers and some refreshing changes. This week, Gordon Ramsey was back to revisit the restaurant and to see how things have changed over this past year — and it just so happens to correspond with their 10-yr anniversary. Keeping with some of Ramsey’s recommendations, Le Bistro has softened the look (out with the red walls, in with the blue) and they even added in a bar area — and Ramsey was pleased with the results. He even offered a toast of Champagne to the Trousdale’s and the other VIP’s in attendance — myself included. It was great to be part of this celebration.  Be sure to take a look at some of the photos from the event.

This revisit episode will air sometime in March or April. Stay tuned.

Le Bistro is located at 4626 N Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point.
