Discover Wine & Beer Pairings at ART

wine tasting Paired dinner have become a popular dining choice, as diners learn how food and beverage can bring out the best in each other.  I’ve long been a fan of wine pairings, as both a way to sample new wine, new foods, and discover what tastes good together.  ART Restaurant at the Four Seasons Seattle is going to challenge me even further with two upcoming paired meals – one based on beer, the other on wine.

It’s about the Beer

Beer & Cheese Moveable Feast:  This afternoon event will have you touring and tasting with ART’s Chef, Kerry Sear as you visit Pike Brewery and Beecher’s Handmade Cheese.  The field trip will help you learn a little about these home town products, along with giving you plenty of samples, before returning to the restaurant where what you’ve learned all comes together in a 6-course beer and cheese tasting menu, served family-style around a communal table.

Date & Time:  Saturday, January 29th, 11:30 am-2:30 pm

Price:  $50/person, includes tour, tastings, lunch at ART, and parking.

It’s about the Wine

Fidelitas Winemaker Dinner:  This is an intimate reception with the winemaker from Fidelitas, a Washington winery that I discovered last summer.  The evening event will include a serving of four Tasting Tray, with each tray featuring four different dishes, and specially paired wines with each tray.  This tasting will give you a chance to try a little bit of a lot of things and expand your palate.

Date & Time:  Friday, February 4th, 6-10 pm

Price:  $85/person, includes tasting trays, wine pairings and parking.

Learn, and taste, just what the right mix of food and wine/beer can do to enhance your dining pleasure with these two tasting events.
