U.S. Military Receives Special Offers at Disney Resorts

I attended a very patriotic Veteran’s Day program recently.  It struck me that while they deserve more, we are very grateful to these fine men and ladies merely twice a year, Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day.

Thankfully Disney has gone beyond these two occasions and is saying thank you to U.S. military personnel from now until September 28, 2011.  The thank you comes by the way of a special discount on theme park tickets and accommodations for active and retired military at both Walt Disney World (map) and Disneyland Resort (map).

Military promotional tickets are available at Walt Disney World in the form of 4-Day Park Hopper Option, a  4-Day Water Parks Fun and More Option or a combined 4-Day Park Hopper and Water Parks Fun and More Option, all at a great discount. A 3-Day Park Hopper Military Promotion ticket  is available at Disneyland Resort.

Promotional tickets are available to active and retired U.S. Military, including the U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard and Reservists, for themselves, their family and friends, up to six tickets total.  Tickets may be purchased by the personnel or their spouse, but not both.  Tickets will be sold through September, 28 and must be used by October 1, 2011.

In addition to the promotional tickets, special discounts of up to 40 percent off is available for accommodations at select Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort hotels.  While there are certain blackout dates surrounding the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays, the discount applies to most nights through October 1, 2011.

Promotional tickets  and room reservations at Walt Disney World, as well as additional information are available  by calling 407-939-7830 or by visiting  participating military base ticket offices.  For promotional tickets, room reservation and additional information regarding a visit to Disneyland Resort, guests can visit base ticket offices or call 714-956-6424. It is important to note that valid military identification will be required at check-in of the resort hotels.

During this year long campaign, Disney says thank you to American military personnel and “Let the Memories Begin”.
