Thanksgiving 2010 in Broward County

Whatever you’re craving for Thanksgiving dinner in 2010, Broward County has you covered — from a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings to a vegetarian feast at Sublime. Take a look at what your favorite chefs have in store for you.

Grill 66 never disappoints, so you can be certain their Thanksgiving menu will be a feast for your sense. Their 3-course $35 menu will be served from 4-9 pm on Thanksgiving Day. (The regular menu will also be available.) Start off with your choice of Butternut Squash Bisque or a Seasonal Green Salad with goat cheese, apples and toasted hazelnuts; Next, comes a Roasted free range turkey with sausage-apple-brioche stuffing with cranberry-ginger relish and sweet potato mash; and for dessert you can indulge in either the pecan or pumpkin pie.

The Harbor Beach Marriott will be serving a delightful Thanksgiving feast with your favorite flavors for $55 adults/$27 for kids 6-12 from 1:30-5:30 pm. This feast will include traditional items with a gourmet twist like a Whole Roasted Turkey & Honey Glazed Ham, New York Strip Steak, Grilled Mahi with citrus beurre blank, cornbread stuffing, sweet potato and andouille soup, mixed salads, antipasto and a selection of Thanksgiving desserts.

Chef Andy Trousdale has created a gourmet menu for Thanksgiving day.  This 3-course menu is priced at $29++ or $12++ for children 12 and under. Begin your gourmet feast with your choice of Acorn Squash Chowder or the Harvest Salad. For your main entree, select from a Traditional Carved Roast Turkey with sage and onion stuffing, green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole; Braised Lamb Shank with broccoli and pan-sauteed polenta cakes; or a Filet of Cod with cream of mushroom and brown rice. For dessert, select between the Spiced Pumpkin Pie Gelato or Vanilla Pecan Bread Pudding.

For gourmet comfort food at its finest, pay a trip to Lola’s on Harrison for Thanksgiving dinner served family style. From 2-8 pm, Chef Michael Wagner will be cooking up a decadent menu for innovative Thanksgiving dishes. Cost for this will be $39++ for adults and $19++ for children. Start off with a bowl of Sweet Corn Soup with garlic chives and corn sprouts. For your main course choose between “deep fried” Carolina Turkey Breast or Zinfandel Braised Turkey Drumsticks. Add in some comforting sides Butternut Squash and Sage Au Gratin and Goat Cheese & Chive Mashed Potatoes and finish off with a slice of Pumpkin Cheesecake with Spiced Caramel.

Whether you are just looking for a Thanksgiving dinner or would like to add in some entertainment, the Mai-Kai has you covered. There will be 2 seatings for Thanksgiving Day — 3 pm seating for a 5 pm show & a 6 pm seating for a 7:30 pm show. Your dinner will include a Pupu Platter, roasted turkey or ham, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and of course, a slice of apple or pumpkin pie. Cost is $33.50++ with the show, $25.50 without the show and $13.95 for children 12 and under.

Steak 954 at W Fort Lauderdale will feature an a la carte Thanksgiving menu from 11:30 am – 9:00 pm. This sumptuous menu includes classic Thanksgiving dishes, with a modern twist like Butternut Squash Soup, Roasted Turkey with cranberry chutney, Marshmallow Sweet Potatoes and Creamed Spinach, Pumpkin Souffle and Pecan Pie. If you’re not into traditional dishes, you’ll be fine at Steak 954 — as their signature dishes will also be available.

If you are looking for vegetarian dining options on Thanksgiving, there’s one place to go in Broward County — Sublime & it pays to plan early — when you make your reservation before 11/22, you will pay just $39++ for adults ($29++ for children 12 and under) for your 3-course dinner + coffee/tea/soft drink. If you wait until after that time, the price increases $10. For your vegetarian feast, your meal will begin with a Waldorf Salad with apples, celery, raisins and walnuts; for you main course, you’ll enjoy a Gardein “Turkey” or Roasted Acorn Squash filled with quinoa stuffing and both will be served with fresh green beans, mushrooms and cranberry sauce. For dessert, it’s a pumpkin “cheesecake” that will be served to you.

III Forks will offer a 4-course Thanksgiving dinner at all 3 of their locations in South Florida. Your dinner begins with tomato basil soup, followed by a III Forks Salad. This continues with a serving of either the slow roasted carved turkey or chateaubriand with bordelaise sauce and is finished off with pumpkin pie cake, Kentucky bourbon pecan pie or Cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Tea or coffee is included. The cost of this dinner is $42.95 for adults and $14.95 for children under 12.

Choose between a 3 and 4 course Thanksgiving menu at Trina and enjoy the cuisine of Chef Mark Militello from 2-10 pm on Thanksgiving Day. If a simpler, 3-course meal ($55++) is what you choose, may we recommend starting off with the Pumpkin Bisque with Maine Lobster or the Red and Yellow Beet Salad with toasted hazelnut orange vinaigrette. For your main course, you can go traditional with the Slow Roasted Herb Stuffed Farm Raised Turkey with pinot noir gravy and cranberry pomegranate relish or go out on the edge with Blue Brab Crusted Halibut with roasted red bliss potatoes, sauteed squash and zucchini and a lemon butter sauce. Finish off with a mini holiday dessert trio — Caramel Apple Cheesecake, Pumpkin Creme Brule and Milk Chocolate Mousse Bombe. If you want something more substantial, you can add in a 4th course to make it $55++, and with this you will have your choice of Creamy Polenta with a fricassee of wild mushrooms and parmesan; Swank Farms Seasonal Mixed Greens Salad; Tartar of Tuna; or Homemade Porcini Ravioli;

Vienna’s kitchen opens up at 2:00 pm for Thanksgiving Day. Chef has created special menu items for that day. The price of the 3-course dinner will depend on your main entree. All will begin with their choice of soup (either Roasted Butternut Squash or Chicken & White Bean) and salad (Vienna House or Caesar); an entree –  such as Roasted Turkey ($28), Potato Crusted Salmon ($32), Jaeger Schnitzel ($32) or Roasted Duck with Lingonberry Sauce ($38); and your choice of dessert.
