The 1st Auckland International Carnival 2010
The streets of Auckland will be throbbing with the samba beat!
Auckland will have its very first and totally exciting Auckland International Carnival 2010 which is a 2 – day festival. The Carnival will offer tourists and locals alike the amazing and spectacular events, and celebrate the melting pot of cultures and cuisine that makes Auckland unique.
Just like the famous carnivals of Brazil, the Carnival highlights will be the Costume Carnival Parade, complete with hot rhythms, theatre and dance and an exhilarating blend of exotic culture, and a portfolio different people from different nationalities, creativity, colourful costumes and rhythmic beats.
All of the excitement of the carnival activities are punctuated with plenty of events that would enamour anyone and these events are the Masquerade Ball, an all night Carnival After Party, a Blue Light Disco, corporate hosted events, and food stalls to tantalize and please any palate, vibrant craft stalls, entertainment shows and dance competitions, local and international cultural performances, great NZ bands and so much more. The Auckland International Carnival concludes in style on Sunday night with a spectacular display of dazzling fireworks and pyrotechnics and a fun picnic atmosphere.
This is a truly remarkable FREE event that will bring all Aucklanders together on Saturday, November 6th & Sunday, November 7th, 2010 at the Ellerslie Event Centre, 80-100 Ascot Avenue, Greenlane, Auckland.
