Free Pumpkin Party for Kids & Parents at Cafe Flora

One week till Halloween – do you have your pumpkin carved yet?

Dress up the kids and take them to Cafe Flora for a morning of pumpkin decorating and treats while parents can relax and enjoy the process.  Cafe Flora, Seattle’s sophisticated and award winning vegetarian restaurant, honors the gourd of fall and teams up with Tonnemaker Farms (from central Washington) and neighborhood Thrive Art School to create a very special experience for all the little ghosts, goblins, and ghouls around town.

Halloween pumpkins will be decorated under the supervision of Thrive’s staff, and will include sequins, feathers, and other arts and crafts supplies.  The event is age appropriate for even the youngest kids, as there is no carving or sharp implements involved.

Cinnamon bites (vegetarian) will be provided by the restaurant and served up along with cider provided by Rockridge Orchards & Cidery, a working Enumclaw farm.

Costumes are encouraged, but not required.  There’s plenty of space for adults to sit and watch the kids have fun, while enjoying their own cider and cinnamon bites.  All ages welcomed!

Date & Time: October 30th, 2010, 9 am – 2 pm
