Dragons and Roosters Ready to Rumble in Rugby League Grand Final
Rugby league purists may argue that it doesn’t matter who wins this Sunday’s NRL grand final, as for the first time in six years it’ll certainly go to a Sydney team. The city is the birthplace of rugby league, yet in recent years Brisbane and Melbourne have attempted to steal our thunder. Not so in 2010, where the St George Dragons from Kogarah will go head to head with those Sydney Roosters from the city’s eastern suburbs.

Tickets for the main game at ANZ Stadium are still available from Ticketek in all categories, from the pricy $180 A Reserve ones to the more affordable $60 D reserve ones in. You can even specify who you’re supporting to ensure you sit with fellow fans, or choose to go alcohol free to keep the kids away from the inevitable obnoxious drunks.
They say there’s nothing like being there at the game, but with televisions getting bigger watching it on the box is a great substitute. The game’s sure to be on at your local pub or RSL, or you could get together with friends and enjoy the action at home. Just make sure that your beer fridge is fully stocked; whether you’re celebrating or commiserating it’s the Australian way!
The action kicks off at midday with the NSW Cup Grand Final, but if you’re not dedicated enough to watch hours of sport make sure you’re glued to your set when the main game starts at 5 pm.
