It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort

It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort (map) and the Disney villains you love to hate will be invading Disneyland Park for some spooky fun.  From September 17 – October 31 families will have a chance to enjoy seasonal attractions and decorations, as well as see Mickey and his pals dressed in whimsical  Halloween costumes.

Halloween Time at Disneyland Park marks the return of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, where voyagers are launched into the haunted section of the universe and ghosts seem to appear out of the darkness, and  Haunted Mansion Holiday, where no thanks to Jack Skellington, Halloween and Christmas have been combined to recreate plenty of havoc and surprises in true Nightmare Before Christmas style.

At California Adventure Park (map), Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, recalls the anniversary of the supernatural event on Halloween night in 1939 which has forever haunted the building. Along with the new, nighttime water spectacular, World of Color there will be plenty of  thrills and amazement.

With delightful fun for children and adults, as the Pumpkin Festival with over 300 carved pumpkins, none of them the same, on display in the shop windows of Main Street U.S.A.  While on Main Street, guests will want to keep an eye out for characters dressed in their spook-able holiday attire.  Speaking of characters, those Disney Villains can be found plotting and planning mischief of all kinds outside of “its a small world”.

Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland will be decked out in Halloween decor and will host pumpkin carvers, ranch animals and activities for young guests.  Sheriff Woody will be on hand to keep an eye on things.  Rancho del Zocalo, also in Frontierland, will honor the Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, with traditional skeleton figures on display through Nov. 2

Still up for more Halloween fun?  A separate-ticket event, Mickey’s Halloween Party, will be held at Disneyland on Tuesdays and Fridays in October, as well as Halloween night, Sunday, Oct. 31. Children and adults alike are invited to dress up in costume and trick or treat throughout the ultimate Disney neighborhood.  Party highlights include:

  • Extra treats available along Mickey’s Hide-and-Go-Treat Trail
  • Dance parties full of spirited music
  • The exclusive viewing of Halloween Screams, a fireworks spectacular hosted by the Master of Scareomonies, Jack Skellington
  • Mickey’s Costume Party cavalcade presented twice nightly
  • Character photos with Mickey and all his pals

Though a special ticket is needed to enter Mickey’s Halloween Party, with the Party ticket, guests can arrive up to three hours before the party starts to enjoy all the attractions and rides in Disneyland. For more information about Halloween Time including purchasing Halloween Party tickets on line, or guests may also call (714) – 781-4400.
