Food & Wine Weekend 2010 Taste of Tulalip
Following up its successful inaugural year, the Taste of Tulalip returns with a weekend of gourmet food, parties, wine education and tasting, demonstrations, and lots of conversation about two of my favorite topics – food and wine.
The weekend kicks off with a champagne reception on Friday evening featuring special guest Marc Mondavi. That’s just the teaser to start the evening, though, and after that you’ll enjoy a 5-course dinner with wine pairings. After dinner, the festivities continue with a VIP party featuring Cusano cigars, Graham’s Port, entertainment, and lively conversation.
Saturday gives you an opportunity to sip, savor, and learn, with 4 educational seminars covering wine and port, along with a gala tasting featuring 80 wineries and selected food pairings. There will chef demonstrations, multiple stations, and lots of activity.
I went to the event last year, and this is a First Class event! It’s presented in partnership with Wine Spectator, Cigar Aficionado and Riedel glassware, so you know you can expect quality. While I love wine, I consider myself very much of a novice. I felt comfortable asking questions and talking with people, and learning more about wine. Whether you consider yourself an expert or are merely curious, you’ll find plenty to enjoy at the event bringing together the best of food and wine.
