A Vacation Spot Fit for A King, or Duke, or Princess
Walt Disney World Resort (map) has a new resort that had lots of tails wagging at its recent opening, after all it is the luxury, pet resort managed by Best Friends Pet Care. Combining the best care associated with Best Friends Pet Care with the imagination of Disney created a pet facility that will surprise and delight Disney Resort guests of the two-legged and four-legged variety.
The one-of a-kind pet resort features 17,000 square feet of air-conditioned indoor space, 10,000 square feet of covered outdoor space and a 25,000 square foot exclusive dog park. The resort can accommodate up to 300 pet guests for both daytime and nighttime or overnight boarding.
Mickey must have had Pluto in mind when designing these accommodations, as man’s best friend has boarding options ranging from a standard 32-square foot indoor suite with private “relief” patio to the 226 square foot VIP suite, complete with a doggy eye-level television, raised bedding, and a private outdoor yard large enough for you to visit and play with your pal. With included suite experiences like a potty walk, play sessions and nightly turn down service this option is truly perfect for any Very Important Pet.
A private dog park includes a walking trail overlooking a natural wetlands and a large area for running and playing. Exclusive to Best Friends Pet Care guests, this park is available to pets and their owners anytime, even after dark. Guests can hit the parks during the day and bring Rover on over for a little exercise in the evening making it a fun vacation for everyone.
If all that playing gets Fido a little overheated, he can head to the splash and play water feature. Although it looks like a lot of fun, it is designed for canines only, so dog owners have the option to sit, watch and relax on the nearby benches.
At Kitty City, a pavilion designed for felines and kept separate from the canines, pampered pussycats can select between a two or four bedroom condos, each with its own private “bathroom”. Special attention for these pretty kitties includes private playtime, activity toys in their suites and special treats like Cookies and Milk or Tuna on a Ritz.
Offering unique services and amenities assures Disney Park guests traveling with their pets, the highest quality entertainment and resort attention. Other features at the resort include a grooming salon, doggy day-camp, one on one play, cuddle time and even bed-time stories.
Making sure there is a spot for most pets, big and small, there is even an area designed to care for “pocket pets”, small mammals and even birds, although pet owners must provide housing/cage for these animals. Venomous pets and primates, are perhaps the only pets excluded from this amazing animal club.
Rarely have we vacationed with our pet, especially when it meant that our best friend would be alone for great stretches of time. With this new pet resort as an option, we just might be taking our pet to the Happiest Place on Earth soon.
