US National Parks of the American Southwest
The establishment of the United States National Park system has insured the preservation of many historical and natural sites since 1872. With nearly 400 parks within the system, it is safe to say that there is one close to every American hometown.
The park system has made it even easier for these travelers to explore, by creating travel itineraries. Exploring nature and discovering the history that lies within, has made travel to these sites extremely popular, especially in the summer months.
Here is a glimpse of the magnificent sites that await guests to the parks of the Southwest United States:
Sunrise at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah (map)
The Grand Canyon , Arizona (map)
The Dollhouse, one of the many geological forms in the Canyonlands National Park
An ancient Puebloan formation located in The Canyonlands, Moab, Utah (map)
The Patriarchs in Zion National Park, Rockville Utah (map)
