11th Annual Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival

Enjoy a day in the sun at beautiful Deer Lake Park on Saturday, August 14 at the with music featuring the best of North American Blues and Roots artists. Come for the day: picnic on the grass, bring your own lunch or sample the festival’s food and beverage. Browse the Artisan Village and check out the children’s activities on site.
There are two stages where an impressive lineup of stars will perform, including headliners Taj Mahal, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Serena Ryder, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real, Colin Linden and Little Miss Higgins.
Coolers and Chairs are permitted on the site. Deer Lake Park is a general admission lawn seating site with no reserved seats. No Barbecues or fires.
The Kids arts activity zone is open from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Children must be supervised by parent/guardian at all times.
Be prepared for the weather (rain or shine) and enjoy dancing to the music.

Time: August 14th, 2010. Gates open at 1 pm, show runs 2-10 pm.
Tickets: $60 Single Tickets (advance to August 13); $10 Party Pack for 4; Day of event: $65 Single; Children 12 years old and younger are free at the gate accompanied by an adult. Tickets and info available .
There are two entrances to the site, both from Deer Lake Avenue. The Main Gate is located on the northeast side of the venue next to the Shadbolt Centre (). This gate is open to patrons holding tickets, those picking up tickets at Will Call. The West Gate is located on the northwest side of the venue and is restricted to ticket holders and Ticket Fast only. Pedestrian access to the West Gate is via the Burnaby Art Gallery parking lot just west of the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.
Note: There is limited parking on public streets so it is advisable to use public transit or the shuttle bus service which will operate (free) from BCIT student parking lots (N: purple Zone and O: brown zone). ()
