Vino’s BYOB Dinner Tonight!
Earlier this year, Honolulu Magazine named Vino as the city’s best wine tasting locale. Furuya frequently circulates among the guests, helping guests with pairing and determining the best flavors and notes that suit their meals. Vino also recently revamped its tapas menu, balancing the delicious food with wines on offer.
In 2006, Food and Wine named Vino one of “America’s 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences.” Created by Master Sommelier Chuck Furuya and restaurateur D.K. Kodama, Vino reflects the energy and passion pairing great food and wine. Modeled after an Italian enotecca, Vino’s warm ambiance is the ideal setting for an evening of Italian tapas with friends and family. Its convivial atmosphere allows everyone who visits to feel as if they are part of the extended “Vino family.”
When the restaurant was opened in 2004, both Furuya and Kodama had a desire to create a dining experience that offered great food, fabulous wines, and good fun. Vino’s 60+ bottled wine list offers wine by the bottle, glass, or in 2 oz tasting pours. The prices are surprisingly affordable, providing guests with great value and opportunities to enjoy wines that are not often found on local wine lists.
Tonight, guests will be able to partake in a special BYOB three-course dinner. Participants bring what they think are appropriate wines to pair with the menu: Homemade seafood sausage with Island tomato concasse and homemade linguine; Seared herb marinated vintage steak with homemade cavatelli pasta and fresh Nalo Farms baby arugula. The event is designed to shed new insight on the how’s and why’s of wine and food pairing.
Call for reservations.
