Expo El Gourmet

The fourth annual Expo El Gourmet (Gourmet Show and Trade Fair) is taking place in late August in Mexico City. Beginning on August 27th and continuing through the 29th, the Expo El Gourmet is the official gourmet food show and trade fair hosted by elgourmet.com. The Expo El Gourmet will feature fine food and wine exhibitions, conferences and workshops. The event aims to promote gourmet cuisine in Mexico and around the world. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a variety of gourmet foods.

The Expo El Gourmet brings together expert chefs, industry professionals, business owners and food lovers to share their views and knowledge as well as explore new ways of preparing food.  Featured chefs at this year’s event include Donato de Santis, Paulina Abascal, Mikel Alonso, José Ramón Castillo, Paulino Cruz, Alfonso Cadena, Ingrid Ramos, Eduardo Osuna and Enrique Olvera.

Visitors to the Expo El Gourmet can register to take classes focusing on fine food and wine.  A schedule of workshops and events is available on the Expo El Gourmet website. General Admission to the Expo El Gourmet is M$200 ($16) per day.  Cooking classes cost an additional M$250 ($18) or M$800 ($64) for premium cooking classes.  Tickets for the event are available online at Ticketmaster Mexico.

The Expo El Gourmet is being held in the Banamex Center (map) located at Av. Conscripto 311, Colonia Lomas de Sotelo, Del. Miguel Hidalgo in Mexico City. The closest Metro station is Cuatro Caminos.
