Irresistible Eating at Bairro Alto Hotel

The first contemporary boutique Hotel in Lisbon, Bairro Alto Hotel, stands right in the heart of the old part of town, at Praça Luís de Camões (map). This is one of the most vibrant parts of town with great shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

This hip-chick place to stay in town has been placing a new offer on their restaurant that is definitely worth a look. Flores Restaurant, on your right hand side as you enter the lobby, is one of my top Lisbon choices when it comes to contemporary Portuguese cuisine in a tranquil-trendy atmosphere. Besides their usual Degustation Menus and A la Carte, they are now offering some great opportunities to get to know the talented Chef Luís Rodrigues:

Tapas Gourmet

This degustation menu (€45 with drinks) includes six starters, a main course and five desserts.

Available every Thursdays for dinner, starting the 4th of August

American Brunch

This Sunday Brunch (€20), although very complete, including all kinds of bread, jam, ham, cheese, eggs and much more can even be upgraded to include omelets, risottos and other delicacies (€27,50).

On the sixth floor, the terrace bar is fantastic for a late afternoon and early night drink with breath-taking views over the city’s red roof tops and the Tagus river. You can sink into a sofa as you drink your cocktail and watch Lisbon go buy.

Where: Praça Luis de Camões, 2
