Be An Artist at the Lakeside Market Summer Festival

Children are often punished for painting on walls, in books and – heaven forbid – on the family car. This Saturday, however, Mitsubishi Motors is bringing two vehicles to LakeSide Market in Plano for that specific purpose, to let people decorate the exteriors with fingerpaints.

It has probably been a while since you fingerpainted, but ArtLoveMagic and LakeSide Market want you to be an artist – if only for a day. So, with that in mind, the non-profit group and open air shopping center are teaming up to host the LakeSide Market Summer Festival on Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If you have ever wanted an excuse to paint, draw and play music, this is it.

ArtLoveMagic is a volunteer driven non-profit group from Dallas that promotes creativity through interactive projects with the public. Members are leading a variety of hands-on activities for kids and adults throughout the afternoon. Come and learn about drawing, face painting, airbrush art and even graffitti.

The Taste of LakeSide food tent is providing tasty samples from the markets’ restaurants, and live music will fill the air. You can even participate in a group called Weapons of Mass Percussion to unleash your inner drummer. Car aficionados will also have a chance to preview the new Mitsubishi 2011 Outlander Sports, of which there are only four on the road right now.

As you can see, this year’s LakeSide Market Summer Festival is packed full of fun activities for both kids and adults, so grab some friends and come on down for a day of creative play.
