August Jazz in Lisbon

Lisbon in August wouldn’t be the same anymore without Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Festival, Jazz in August. On the 27th edition, again, the program will reflect the latest tendencies of the contemporary jazz.

Most of the concerts will be held on the gardens of the Foundation, right in the middle of Lisbon, by Praça de Espanha (map). Among the many names you’ll be able to see and hear, John Surman (sax and clarinet) and Jack DeJohnette (drums and piano) are just two of them.

It will also be a time of reflection on the European and American Jazz, with time for a documentary and film.
