Family Adventure Goes High-Tech At Whistler Four Seasons
It’s been a long time since I was in Whistler. I remember being charmed by the Alpine village (map), feeling like I was in Switzerland or Austria instead of British Columbia. The mountains are beautiful, and the fresh mountain air demands to be played in!
The Four Seasons in Whistler, BC. (map) has introduced the Family Adventure Package for adventurous broods making their base camp at the posh resort. Like a modern-day scavenger hunt, families will navigate and explore the valley floor and mountains of Whistler looking for “treasure”, while using the latest in Global Positioning System technology. Using their GPS receiver, guests will seek out “caches”, small waterproof containers containing a logbook and “treasure”. After a brief lesson how to use GPS, families head out ‘geocaching’, a treasure hunt of sorts seeking an assortment of caches or treasures that range in value.
Locations on the treasure hunt are Whistler’s most beautiful or most secret locations – and the GPS also serves as a tracker should families get lost or require assistance. The “treasures” can be arranged in advance to include small favourite toys, and families will win a “Geocoin” at the end of their adventure that they can register and track around the world.
Families splurging on the Four Seasons Family Adventure Package will receive a Deluxe Room and 10 per cent savings on all meals purchased at the Resort including the restaurant, bar, pool and in-room dining. Complimentary adult tickets are provided plus free tickets for all children under 10 for Whistler Geocaching Adventures. Families will also receive a backpack filled with goodies to prepare them for the great outdoors.

Glad to hear you had such a great time when you were at Whistler. You will have to come back in the winter and take the kids skiing. You can also get a nice night out without the kids by calling Nannies on Call. We would be happy to help you get an adults night out.
