Traveling to British Columbia? Check Out These Deals!

I follow many tourism boards on Twitter because they often tweet useful information, opportunities for trips, and even money-saving deals.  This afternoon I saw a tweet from TourismBC that looked intriguing – “What do ranches, spas, golf and hotsprings have in common? They’re all on our Special Offers page” – so I checked it out and was very suprised!

Kootenay National Park in British Columbia

The Tourism Board for British Columbia in Canada, has compiled a list of over 200 offers throughout the area for hotels, spas, golf courses, adventure tours, wine tours, bike tours, heli-skiing, whale watching, and more!  Whether you are vising the coast or the mountains, the Special Offers website is perfect for anyone planning a vacation to British Columbia and wants to save some money!

After clicking on a few of the specials, they are as advertised and have some really great deals available!

If you are unfamiliar with British Columbia, it is the westernmost province in Canada, located between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains.  British Columbia is home to many adventure activities, but also to some amazing restaurants and fabulous shopping.  The city of Vancouver (map), where the 2010 Winter Olympics were held, is in this province, as well as the well-known skiing area of Whistler (map).

British Columbia has a temperate climate, with snowfall in the mountains and rainfall along the coast.  The coldest weather (and ideal skiing months) will be found from November until March, with the warmer weather lasting from June through September.
