Get Fit with Got Milk?
Even though summer is half way over, there is no reason why you shouldn’t continue staying fit year around. That’s why the California Milk Processor Board, the creator of GOT MILK?, is launching an online nutrition and health blog called GET FIT WITH GOT MILK? It’s a six-month, “mid-year resolution” program where you can get help from a dietitian and a personal trainer all for FREE.
Starting today until January 12, 2011, GOT MILK? has set up a challenge for people living in California to log on and become members of the GET FIT WITH GOT MILK? blog. You will receive tips from Mary Barbour, a registered dietitian and member of the California Dietetic Association and Holly Holton, a certified personal trainer and the owner of Pink Iron Women’s Gym in West Hollywood. These nutrition and exercise coaches say the secret to a stronger, leaner and higher-performing body is exercise and proper nutrition that includes low fat or nonfat milk, and chocolate milk post-workout for muscle recovery.
By joining the blog, if you become active members you may be eligle to win $2,500 to GET FIT WITH GOT MILK?. Californians 18 and over must be active participants of the blog and take part in online activities, which include bimonthly Tweet chats. At the end of the program, you will be asked to submit a short essay with before-and-after pictures describing how milk helped them attain their health and fitness goals. You have until January 12, 2011 (PST) to submit your entry. The winner will win $2,500 in cash and have his/her story featured on the blog and gotmilk.com.
I’m excited to get started and finding out how to become healthier. To become a member of the program and for complete contest rules on the GET FIT WITH GOT MILK? $2500 contest visit getfitwithgotmilk.com.
