Free Friday Fun All Summer Long

Make the most of New England’s short summer season by taking advantage of Free Fun Fridays sponsored  by the Highland Street Foundation.  The popular summer series, now in its 2nd year, allows residents and visitors the opportunity to visit some of Massachusetts most popular attractions for free.

Each Friday for 10 weeks of the summer, a designated museum or attraction offers free admission to all. You may want to mark your calendars now for Labor Day weekend when a total of 16 venues throughout the state will offer free admission on either Friday, September 3 or Saturday, September 4. The upcoming Free Friday destinations include:

Friday, July 23, The  JFK Library and Museum (Columbia Point, Boston)(Map).

Friday, July 30, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston ( 465 Huntington Ave., Boston)(Map).

Friday, August 6, The Peabody Essex Museum (161 Essex St., Salem)(Map).

Friday, August 13, Old Sturbridge Village (1 Old Sturbridge Village Rd., Sturbridge)(Map).

Friday, August 20, The Institute of Contemporary Art (100 Northern Ave., Boston)(Map).

Friday, August 27, The Museum of Science (1 Science Park, Boston)(Map).

Grand Finale weekend:

Friday, September 3, The Sports Museum, Boston; The New England Historic Genealogical Society, Boston; The Ecotarium, Worcester; The Cape Cod Museum of Art, Dennis; The New Bedford Whaling Museum, New Bedford; the Concord Museum, Concord;  The Stone Zoo, Stoneham; Buttonwood Park Zoo, New Bedford .
