Taco Tuesdays at La Verdad

For food -obsessed diners who are cash conscious, file $1 Taco Tuesdays at La Verdad under “good to know”. La Verdad is high profile Boston chef Ken Oringer’s (Clio, Uni, Coppa, KO Prime, Toro) casual Mexican eatery located in the shadow of  Fenway Park. La Verdad’s Taco Tuesdays is a great way to feed that craving for well-crafted  gourmet eats without reservations or cost.

You can choose from three types of tacos on the Tuesday Dollar menu and there is a limit of five tacos per customer. The Pollo Pibil taco is a complex combination of achiote barbecue chicken with pickled red onions and sour orange. The Pastor Tradicional is a shredded adobe pork taco with roast pineapple and cilantro. The Carnitas features roast pork, cilantro and salsa verde. From the take-out  taqueria, these tacos are already a deal at $2.25, at $1 each on Tuesdays, they are a flat-out bargain.

La Verdad’s bold , folkloric decor creates an atmosphere that’s social and fun for young professionals during lunch and afterwork. You can choose to enjoy your tacos in the full-service  restaurant, on the patio,or do take-out from the attached taqueria, every non-game Tuesday until 4 PM.
