Enjoy Great Comida Criolla at La Querencia

Buenos Aires is a city with a humongous selection of culinary options. In fact you can even make a thematic trip just to delight any of the local delicacies.
Among the number of establishments where you can get a great meal, La Querenciais a delightful, small and rustic restaurant serving comida autoctona o criolla (Argentine food), that developed its fame for the quality and prize.
Everything is fresh, delicious, authentic and very inexpensive. Though they offer a variety of regional main dishes, La Querencia is known for serving the best empanadas in the city. They offer 17 different choices of empanadas. I especially like the espinaca y provolone (spinach and provolone cheese).
They have glorious guisos (stews). Try the Mondongo a la Criolla, it is a delicious bowl of chorizo, garbanzos, hominy, potatoes, tomatoes and herbs in a tasty broth. Also try a guiso de lentejas which has lentils, meat, panceta, potatoes and chorizo in different delicious broth.
La Querencia also offers humitas and tamales (national corn-based dishes) locros, steaks, burgers and plenty of other typical dishes. Any delicious dinner must be accompanied by a glass of Malbec wine. They also have an extensive (25 selections) dessert offering.
The restaurant has a very attractive ambience, with trunks on sight and quaint tables. Its pleasant decoration recalls the country’s north. The friendly staff wear ‘bombacha de gaucho’, a typical gaucho dress.
The restaurant is open Mondays to Thursdays from noon till 4 pm and 7:30 pm till midnight; Fridays to Sundays from noon till 4 pm and 7:30 pm to 1 am. Like many places in Buenos Aires, La Querencia also delivers to your doorstep.
