San Diego International Children’s Film Festival
The 7th annual San Diego International Children’s Film Festival will be taking place around San Diego County from July 25-August 15. More than 170 short films from around the world for children and teens will begin on July 25. One-hour programs combining animated, live-action and documentary short films are clustered for different age groups each day of the festival.
- July 25 – Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center, 10:30am to 5pm. Room 9. Screenings are free with admission to Comic-Con.

- July 31-August 1 – New Children’s Museum, Downtown, 200 W. Island, San Diego (map) – 10am to 4pm and July 31 and Noon to 4pm on August 1. Screenings are free with museum admission.
- August 7-8 - Museum of Photographic Arts, Balboa Park(map), 10:30am to 3pm on August 7 and 10:30am to 5pm on August 8. Screenings free for everyone.
- August 14 – San Marcos Civic Center Plaza, 141 N. Twin Oaks Valley Road(map) from 8pm to 10pm. Free screenings outdoors under the stars. Bring a blanket, folding chairs and a picnic dinner.
- August 15 - Carlsbad Library, 1775 Dove Lane, Ruby Schulman Auditorium (map), 1pm to 5pm. Screenings free for everyone.
