Summer Restaurant Week

Foodies in the know make reservations well in advance for the annual summer  Restaurant Week Boston which takes place Sunday, August 15-Friday, August 20 and Sunday, August 22-Friday, August 27. Sponsored by the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Boston’s finest dining establishments will offer prix fixe lunches and dinners at bargain prices- two course lunches at $15.10, three-course lunches for $20.10,  and 3-course dinners  at just $33.10.  And this summer, Restaurant Week goes local with menus that features ingredients that are Massachusetts homegrown, sustainable, and seasonal.

Value seeking diners can choose from an embarrassment of affordable riches. A two-course lunch for $15.10 on the outdoor patio of  Newbury  Street’s very chic La Voile (261 Newbury St.) (Map) is a bargain indeed and quite a nice  summer Boston dining experience. Prefer dinner with a killer harbor view? This is your chance to snag a coveted reservation at Meritage (Boston Harbor Hotel, 70 Rowes Wharf)(Map) to sample Chef Daniel Bruce’s New American cuisine at a very modest price point.

Now celebrating its 10th year, Boston’s Restaurant Week participants include some of the city’s long-standing favorites- Barbara Lynch’s posh No. 9 Park (9 Park St., Boston)(Map)  and Michael Schlow’s modern -French  Radius (8 High St., Boston)(Map) are tables that everyone wants.  Check out too, the buzz on newcomers Woodward (1 Court St., Boston)(Map)and Market by Jean Georges (100 Stuart St., Boston)(Map). Boston’s Restaurant Week has so many great choices, it is hard to decide!
