Nombe Adds Late Night Specials In San Francisco
This just in! Under the direction of partners, Gil Payne, Mari Takahashi and Nick Balla, Nombe on Mission Street (near 21st Street) in San Francisco has begun offering late night specials like okonomiyaki, takoyaki, oden, ramen, yakisoba and additional Western items available on a rotating basis. Prices range from $4 to $11.
Nombe’s (map) famous chicken wings are always be available, as well as a large sashimi selection and assorted yakitori/ kushiyaki. Late night happy hour prices on draft beer and cocktails are available along with a large selection of premium sakes.
“In the spirit of a true Izakaya restaurant, we wanted to create more options for our late-night revelers and also expand our offerings for those who just want to swing by for a quick bite,” says Balla, Nombe’s executive chef. “As always we will be using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally and with an eye to sustainable and organic practices.”
Nombe’s new casual dining setting is a u-shaped bar adjacent to the front door, that allows guests to drop by for noodles or other quick snacks to eat and drink in a more casual setting. The area is a part of the regular restaurant space and offers the same menu during normal business hours. An additional outside window for take-out food service to the street for late-night (11:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) menu on Friday and Saturday nights is opened as well.
Nombe is located at 2491 Mission Street (near 21st Street) in San Francisco. Hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with a late night menu available after 11:00 p.m and weekend brunch Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
