CHEW Chicago’s Taste of Wellness Tours

Would you like to know where some of the healthiest places in Chicago are, places that can help you lead a healthier lifestyle, and even help you shed some pounds if weight loss is a goal?

Chicago nutritionist Jessica Marie El-Assaad (the founder of Complete Health Education and Wellness Inc. – also known as CHEW), has created Taste of Wellness Tours that include stops at some of Chicago’s healthiest stores, as well as a walk through Chicago’s Green City Market.

Each tour is three to four hours long and covers roughly three miles (helping you burn close to 500 calories with all the walking), and also includes mini yoga and Pilates classes, free goodies and food samples, and a nutrition consultation with El-Assaad.

Merchants included in the tours are:

  • The Green City Market where you will sample foods and mingle with farmers.
  • Infuse Yoga and Balance Health + Wellness for yoga and Pilates classes.
  • LUSH for natural beauty products.
  • And Karyn’s Raw for food samples and a raw foods talk.

For information on additional merchants that participate in the Taste of Wellness Tours, check out the Taste of Wellness Tour page.

Taste of Wellness Tours run weekly through October and are on Wednesdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Tours meet at 1760 N. Clark (near Menomonee). Cost is $40.
