Kelvin Slush Truck Just in Time for Summer

It’s steamy outside and you want a refreshing treat… something that brings you back to childhood in taste but not to the point that it permanently colors your tongue, gives you sugar shock, or adds to your very adult waistline.  That’s where Kelvin all natural slush comes to the rescue!

Named after the temperature scale based on absolute zero, Kelvin Natural Slush, comes to you via a bright blue truck driven by a 30-year-old ex-attorney who aims to elevate the old time Slurpee experience to a higher form of slush.  All slushies are made with pure filtered water and all natural cane sugar.  No high fructose corn syrup.  Fruit purees are certified kosher.

First, you have to check to see if and when he’s going to be in your neighborhood by checking his Twitter stream. Then, ponder what you’ll be ordering.  He’s keeping it simple but offering more sophisticated, less sweet flavors like Spicy Ginger, Tangy Citrus, and Green and Black Tea.

Then the fun starts….deciding what flavor of fresh-fruit purée to pair with these base slush flavors.  I’m going for White Peach + Green Tea or an Açaí + Ginger but you decide with the following additional purees:

• Apricot
• Blackberry
• Blood Orange
• Blueberry
• Cherry
• Cranberry
• Lychee
• Mango
• Papaya
• Pink Guava
• Prickly Pear
• Raspberry
• Strawberry

And if that’s not enough, additional mix-ins now include  mint, shaved coconut, nata de coco, and ice cream.  And to make the experience purely adult, his tangy citrus slushies make a refreshing margarita base.  Or just add some Captain Morgan’s to the spicy ginger for a killer frozen Dark ‘n’ Stormy.
