Dublin For Golfers

There are many reasons why Ireland has earned the nickname, ‘The Emerald Isle’. Yes, the abundant rain keeps the countryside a brilliant green color. Yes, from the view of a plane the land does seem to have endless hues of green. But also, a contributing factor to this nickname should be the amount of world-class golf courses that are spread throughout Ireland. Visitors might be surprised to learn that many of these golf courses are located near Dublin, and are easily accessible as a quick daytrip from the city.

Golf enthusiasts will be familiar with the following names. They have earned a reputation for the celebrities that love to play them and for the views they provide. From links courses to courses with mountain views, you will see a whole new side of the Emerald Isle by heading out for a round of 18. Green fees vary per season and per day of the week, so be sure to either check the website of each individual course or call ahead and enquire when making your reservation.
