Hole at the House of Blues
Sure, Courtney Love might be a hot mess whose Twitter rantings and dubious fashion sense make her almost as entertaining off-stage as she is on, but children of the ’90s won’t want to miss her and her reformulated band, Hole, at the Houston House of Blues on Tuesday, July 6. The new album, Nobody’s Daughter, is pretty rockin’ – though certainly not the same gritty, garage-band femme/punk/grunge/pop genius of 1998′s Celebrity Skin.
There is a lot of controversy swirling around the new version of the old band – none of the original members other than Love are involved, and there have been some very public media/PR wars over who said what to whom, and who “owns” Hole and its legacy. At the end of the day, only the music can speak for itself, and you can hear the music live on Tuesday, July 6 at 8:30 PM.
What: Courtney Love with her new/old band “Hole” at the Houston House of Blues; up-and-coming act Foxy Shazam is the opening.
When: Tuesday July 6 at 8:30 PM
Where: 1204 Caroline St. (map)
Tickets: Ticket prices are $35 (general admission & upper balcony), $55 (balcony) and $95 (VIP package) and can be purchased online. Call the House of Blues at 888.402.5837.
