4th of July in Phoenix; Fireworks Maybe, Food & Fun Definitely
Every 4th of July Phoenicians have but a few choices when it comes to large fireworks displays. Our dry terrain is too tempting for any type of spark to ignite and cause a fire. But, that doesn’t stop us from having a good time. If you still don’t have any plans, here are a few holiday cocktails, dinner celebrations and live music events to get you in the mood.
Be a patriot by ordering a Stars and Stripes Martini at Ra Sushi (map). This cocktail, made of vodka and summer fruits like lemon, raspberries and blueberries, is sure to start off your evening with a bang.- There’s nothing like Crackling Cherry Pie made with Pop-rocks to celebrate the 4th of July. Dine on an a la carte menu on Sunday, July 3 at J&G Steakhouse at the Phoenician Resort. (map) Sip some Red, White and Blue cocktails while you listen to the hip-hop duo Thadious Vibez.
- Enjoy the Wheel of Drinks and grab an “adult” snow cone infused with liquors that come in flavors like watermelon, raspberry, cherry, grape and more at the Cave Creek Coffee Co. in Cave Creek. (map) Try a jalapeno beer-marinated bratwurst and a margarita. The event is free with the Cave Creek Cowboy Crew band entertaining the crowd.
- Rooftop fireworks will be on display at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 1 at the W Scottsdale (map). A variety of rockers including the Plain White T’s, of “Hey Delilah” fame and indie pop band Chester French will perform.
