Summer Playground at Hotel Solamar and Jsix Restaurant
It’s a Summer Playground at Kimpton’s Hotel Solamar from now until September 10. This boutique hotel is offering freebies and social media savings as well as specials for their hotel guests. Hotel guests can chill out with perks like complimentary cocktail classes, ice cream socials, DIY Arnold Palmers, and summer-themed Grey Goose libations at neighborhood restaurants. Here is what is included in the Summer Playground.
- Sangria Happy Hour: peach-nectarine sangria made with New Zealand’s environmentally friendly Black Box Sauvignon Blanc. The sangria will be
accompanied by light Mediterranean bites. - Pick Your Poison: Let your personality loose by choosing a “Mischief” or “Summer Kiss” cocktail. “Mischief” will temp with vodka, fresh lime juice, honey syrup and a Laphroaig finish, and “Summer Kiss” will refresh with vodka, Pimm’s, associated fruit and ginger beer.
- Wii Want to Play: Get your game on with Wii games atop Solamar Terrace, including Dance Dance Revolution, golf, baseball and tennis designed to get kids and your inner kid into the summer spirit.
- Get Uncorked: Now until September 6, you can bring in your own bottle to Jsix Restaurant and you will be treated to a complimentary corkage.
- Ice Cream, You Scream: Get a scoop and give back in July with Scoop for Success, a program celebrating National Ice Cream Month and Hotel Solamar’s annual fundraising efforts for Dress for Success, a charity helping women reenter the work force. Snag a signature ice cream treat for $2 at Jsix during the month of July and $1 from your purchase will be donated to the charity.
- Social Medial Secrets: Follow and “like” Kimpton on Twitter and Facebook to receive the monthly social media password. Whisper the word at check-in and get a prize in return. Room upgrades, complimentary in-room movies, appetizers and more are up for grabs.
